7 Week League
Skills and Games all on the same day! (Sundays) 90 mins.
Dates: November 1st- December 20th (No session on Nov. 29th for Thanksgiving Break)
Cost: $340 (+ $30 Reversible Beyond Ball Jersey)
Cost Breakdown: $32/per hour (No more than 8 players to a basket) 3 on 3 with occasional 1 sub each team.
Description:
Divisions: 3rd-4th; 5th-7th.
This is a 3 on 3 (half-court) league. Initial teams will be made on Nov 1st. - There is no need to sign up with other players! Teams will change either weekly or every other week to ensure players have the opportunity to play with different teammates. If you are looking to grow and learn as a player both offensively and defensively then this league is for you! See you there Nov. 1st.
League “Highlights”
-Led by Coach Will Howard, who is in his 20th year of coaching and has experience at all levels ranging from youth to collegiate
-30-40 minutes of skills work on Sundays, followed by 3 on 3 games
-All skills sessions & games are at our indoor facility (NO rain outs!)
Why 3 on 3?
Easier game to understand. By teaching and learning the game in a 3 on 3 setting, coaches and players can focus on what is most important: a strong foundation with an emphasis on player development.
Better spacing. Less kids on the court results in a simpler game to teach and learn. Better spacing allows players to effectively apply their newly learned skills & grow at a faster rate, all while having FUN!
Proper defensive fundamentals. 3 on 3 basketball provides kids the opportunity to play man to man defense in a variety of situations while having to cover more space in the half court. This naturally leads to better overall athletic ability and a greater understanding of the game.
Age Divisions (could change based on enrollment):
3rd-4th grade: 9 or 10 ft. basket (depending on player ability) & 28.5 size ball
5th-7th grade: 10 ft. basket & men’s or women’s ball depending on division.
Sunday Sessions (skills + games):
Girls Division: 3rd-4th grade (court 1); 5th-7th grade (court 2) 2:30p-4:00p
Boys Division: 3rd-4th grade (court 1); 5th-7th grade (court 2) 4:05p-5:35p
